Nature reserves : good and banned practices summer 2023

Our mountains are a fragile environment with an exceptionnal fauna and flora.To limit our impact and keep enjoying these places, we should adopt easy gestures:

• take down your waste
• discretion is key, do not get close to the animals

MARKED TRAILS
In the mountains, it's important to stay on the marked trails and to not cut the curves.

BIVOUAC REGISTRATION
New this year : in order to better inform the public about the appropriate behaviours and the tolerated areas for bivouac, it is requested to register on the Chamonix app prior to bivouac in the Aiguilles Rouges's natural reserves.

BATHING PROHIBITED
In order to protect these fragile areas, swimming in the Lac Blanc and Chéserys lakes is now forbidden from the 1st of July to the 31st of August.
