Rifugio Maison Vieille

From the square in front of the cable car arrival, continue along the plain for about a hundred meters, until you take the dirt road on the right that leads to Maison Vieille. After a few minutes, you come across the well-marked path that alternatively leads to the refuge, which has a very steep first stretch and is not feasible with the "trois roues". Go over the intersection while staying on the road. At the first crossroads, continuing to the right, you can reach the “Le Randonneur” refuge in a few minutes, where you can stop for a short while or finish the tour here (1,807 m - 1.3 km from the start). Continuing instead on the left you can reach the Maison Vieille Refuge, shortly after having crossed the hill. Variants: in July / August it is possible to reach the refuge from Plan Checrouit with the chairlift of the same name (check the opening period)
